Dr. Maria TURSKA, M.D., Ph.D.
Speciality: paediatric ophthalmology, retinopathy of prematurity, fundus angiography, optical aids for the visually impaired.
Specialist in ophthalmology since 2005. Professional interests include paediatric ophthalmology, optical aids for the visually impaired, and fundus angiography.
In 2018, she defended her doctoral dissertation on „Funkcje wzrokowe dzieci po retinopatii wcześniaków” (“Visual function in children after retinopathy of prematurity”).
Paediatric experience gained from working in the Department of Neonatology from 1997 to 1998. She has received training in paediatric ophthalmology at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw, Bergen and Oslo (Norway), London and Prague (Czech Republic).
Since 2002, she has provided ophthalmological care for children from the Special Education Centre for Blind and Low Vision Children in Wrocław.
