Dr. Jarosław MAREK, M.D., Ph.D.

Specialist in ophthalmology, microsurgeon with many years of experience in cataract surgery, implantation of multifocal lenses, phakic lenses and eyelid surgery. Doctor of Medical Science, for many years he was an academic teacher at the Department and Clinic of Ophthalmology of Wrocław Medical University. From 2004 to 2012, he was head of the department of ophthalmology at the Hospital of the Specialist Medical Centre in Polanica-Zdrój, and then at the OOK SPEKTRUM. Author of numerous scientific papers and presentations in the field of cataract treatment, intraocular lenses, glaucoma, corneal diseases and the protective apparatus of the eye.

He has completed numerous internships and training courses in Poland and abroad (Prince Charles Eye Unit Windsor UK, University of Padua Italy, Augenklinik Erlangen Germany, Vistar Eye Center Roanoke Virginia USA).

He is currently Vice-Chairman of the Cataract and Refractive Surgery Section of the Polish Society of Ophthalmology and a member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
