Clinician-practitioner with over 30 years of experience in the diagnostics and treatment of eye diseases. She is happy to undertake the treatment of complex conditions, including complex lens disorders (juvenile and traumatic cataracts), procedures for retinal detachment and vitreoretinal pathology, e.g. in the course of diabetes and high myopia, surgical treatment of glaucoma (including filter valves). She qualifies patients with macular oedema of various aetiologies (diabetic macular oedema, central retinal vein thrombosis, and age-related macular degeneration-AMD) for surgical treatment.

She has particular experience in the diagnosis and monitoring of glaucoma in eyes with high myopia based on her research and defence of her doctoral dissertation entitled „Próba kliniczna ustalenia kryteriów diagnostycznych jaskry w oczach z wysoką krótkowzrocznością” (“Clinical attempt to establish diagnostic criteria for glaucoma in eyes with high myopia”). She has gained over 30 years of professional experience at the Clinic of Ophthalmology of Wrocław Medical University, employed as an Assistant since 1991 and as an Assistant Professor since 2000. She provides undergraduate training for students and postgraduate training for doctors, including from outside Poland.

She has been an active participant in conventions and courses organised by the German Society of Ophthalmology (Deutsche Ophthalmologische Gesellschaft, DOG) for 15 years. She was trained as an international trainee in clinics in Germany, England and India. She is EVRS member, trained in 2002: “European VitreoRetinal Training School”.

In 2023, she participated in the Ophthalmologists for Africa Foundation’s charity mission as an Ophthalmic Surgeon, restoring vision to the people of Tanzania.
