OCT of the anterior segment of the eye
Preparation and monitoring of all laser and surgical procedures of the cornea (refractive surgery, layered and penetrating corneal transplantation)
Imaging of the anterior segment of the eye, with the ability to measure and monitor changes of images and numerical parameters.
The safe non-contact method offers the possibility of examination in the early postoperative period and in children.
Indications for OCT evaluations of the anterior segment of the eye:
Cornea:
- preparation and monitoring of all laser and surgical procedures of the cornea (refractive surgery, layered and penetrating corneal transplantation)
- optical pachymetry (measurement of corneal thickness) – use: corneal surgery, glaucoma
- pathological conditions of the iris
- intraocular implants – assessment of implant position, anterior chamber parameters of the eye
Glaucoma:
- objectified optical pachymetry (CCT) – verification of c.w. results, prognosis
- image and depth measurements of the anterior chamber
- iris imaging – shape of the base of the iris, verification of the result of laser iridotomy, iridoplasty
- imaging of the filtration angle
Dynamic diagnostics of Primary Angle Closure:
- change of pupil width: light – dark, accommodation
- position of the iris-lens diaphragm, chamber depth
Monitoring the outcome of fistula laser procedures and surgeries in glaucoma:
- laser iridotomy, iridoplasty
- postoperative course and filtration cushion in fistula surgery
- precise determination of the position of drainage implants
Diagnostic test – OCT of the anterior segment of the eye
