Topography – non-invasive imaging of corneal shape by creating colour maps. This provides information on the curvature of the anterior surface of the cornea, which is useful in the diagnostics of corneal cone, astigmatism or post-traumatic corneal deformities.

Pachymetry – is used to assess the thickness of the cornea. It is possible to measure the central corneal thickness (CCT) or to map the thickness of the entire cornea. This is an extremely important test for the diagnosis of glaucoma, ocular hypertension and corneal conus. It is essential when qualifying for laser vision correction.

Evaluation of the corneal endothelium – is a non-invasive study involving imaging of the endothelium using a mirror microscope. It enables analysis of corneal endothelial cells for their number, density, shape and surface area.

Corneal tomography – is the acquisition of a three-dimensional image of the anterior and posterior corneal surface, together with information on the distribution of corneal thickness. Non-invasive examination performed with an OCT scanner or Scheimplug camera. Find out more!
